AXA Health has launched a special offer for new individual customers buying through a broker, giving anyone who takes out a Personal Health, Health For You or inSpire Health Plan one month's cover completely free in their first year. The new offer runs from 14 September to 13 November 2026.

Who can claim the offer?

To qualify, you must receive a quote and start cover within the offer window. The offer is open to anyone new to AXA Health, including customers switching from another health insurance provider. It covers AXA’s Personal Health, Health For You and inSpire Health Plan policies, including Child Only plans.

There are a few conditions anyone considering the special offer should be aware of. Applicants must be over 18, have a UK address and be registered with a UK GP. They must also not have held any individual or corporate plan, policy, or trust scheme with AXA Health or AXA Health Services in the three months before applying.

Crucially, the plan must be purchased through a broker, which means the special offer does not extend to the AXA Health Plan, a separate product available only through AXA's own website. Customers who go direct rather than through a broker will not be eligible for the free month, regardless of which plan they choose.

AXA Health’s terms and conditions set out the full rules for its one-month free cover offer.

How the free month is applied

The way the discount is delivered depends on how the customer pays. Those paying their annual premium in one lump sum will only be charged for 11 months of cover. They will also still receive AXA Health's separate 5% discount for paying annually, calculated after the free month has been deducted.

Customers who pay monthly will instead see their fourth month's payment waived, meaning no premium is taken that month.

The broker must apply for the discount through AXA Health's SIGMA system when the policy is set up, so anyone going through a broker should confirm this has been done.

"A free month of cover is a decent incentive for anyone who has been sitting on the fence about buying private health insurance. It's a straightforward offer, but as always, the value of any health insurance plan comes down to what's actually covered, so we'd still encourage people to compare plans properly rather than choosing on the strength of an introductory discount alone."

The information was very helpful and informative. They put me in touch with an extremely helpful broker. I am now moving to a different provider, on a better policy, at a much reduced premium.

Absolutely straightforward experience. The lesson? NEVER accept a renewal quote without shopping around!
