Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 30th June 2026

These terms and conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer, govern your use of www.mytribeinsurance.co.uk (our "website") and your relationship with us in connection with it. Please read them carefully. By using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use our website.

1. About us

Our website is operated by Mytribe Health Limited, trading as myTribe Insurance Experts ("myTribe", "we", "us" and "our").

  • Registered in England and Wales, company number 13877035
  • Registered address: 5a Poole Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5QJ
  • Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, reference number 1008629

2. The nature of our service

myTribe is an independent information service. We publish free guides, research, reviews and tools about private health insurance, life insurance, income protection, business protection and private healthcare.

Where you ask us for a comparison quote, we assess the details you give us and introduce you to one of our vetted, FCA authorised broker partners. That broker then contacts you, gives you advice where appropriate, and can arrange a policy for you.

We are an introducer. We are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority for that activity, but we do not advise on, recommend or arrange insurance products ourselves, and we are not the source of any advice. Any advice comes from the broker partner we introduce you to.

Using our website to request a quote places you under no obligation to proceed, and our service is free to use.

3. Eligibility

Our website and service are intended for residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 or over. By using our website, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. Information, not advice

The guides, research, reviews and tools on our website are general in nature. They are not personal advice or a personal recommendation, and they do not take account of your individual circumstances or needs.

You may wish to take advice from an FCA authorised professional before taking out any insurance product. Any reliance you place on the information on our website is at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that any product, service or information meets your needs.

5. How we are paid

Our service is free to use. We may receive a commission from a broker partner if we introduce you to them and you go on to take out a policy. This commission helps fund our research and the free guides we publish, and it never increases the cost of any product to you.

There is no obligation on you to proceed with a broker partner, and not every introduction results in a commission. Receiving a commission does not represent a partnership between us and any broker partner or insurer.

6. Your relationship with broker partners and insurers

Broker partners and insurers are separate, independent businesses. We are not responsible for the advice they give or the products they provide. If you enter into an agreement with a broker partner or insurer introduced through our website, that agreement is between you and them, and you do so at your own risk.

Each broker partner handles your personal information as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read. Our Privacy Policy explains more about this.

7. Use of the website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • use our website in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation
  • use our website in any way that is fraudulent, or that seeks to harm any person
  • interfere with, damage or disrupt our website, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system or network connected to it

We make every effort to keep our website running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors or interruptions. We will not be liable if our website is unavailable at any time, for example due to technical issues beyond our control.

9. Intellectual property

Our website and its content, including the design, layout, look and feel, text, graphics and logos, are owned by or licensed to Mytribe Health Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content from our website for your own personal, non-commercial use. 10. Use of our content, including by AI systems

The guides, research, reviews, data and other content we publish on our website (our "Content") are the result of significant work and investment. Our Content is protected by copyright, and our original research and data are also protected by database right. We own, or are licensed to use, all rights in our Content.

You may not systematically copy, scrape, extract, harvest, or carry out text and data mining on our Content, or a substantial part of it, except as set out below.

We are happy for our Content to be used, including by search engines and by artificial intelligence and machine learning systems, for indexing, training, and generating answers and summaries, provided that:

  • you clearly attribute the Content to myTribe Insurance Experts, and
  • you provide a clear, visible and working link to the original page on our website as the source.

This permission does not extend to reproducing or republishing substantial parts of our Content as a substitute for the original, even with attribution.

Any use that does not meet these conditions is not permitted. In particular, you may not reproduce, summarise, paraphrase, repurpose or rely on our Content or data, or present it as your own, without attributing us and linking to us as the source.

We reserve all rights in our Content that are not expressly granted above, including our rights in relation to text and data mining. Where our Content is used in breach of these terms, the permission above does not apply, and we reserve the right to take any legal action available to us, including for infringement of copyright and database right.

11. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites that are not under our control. We provide these links for convenience and further information only. We have no control over the content or availability of those websites, and a link does not imply that we endorse them. We are not responsible for the content of any linked website, or for anything that happens if you choose to use it.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we provide our website and its content on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind
  • we will not be liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or for any indirect or consequential loss
  • we will not be liable for any loss or damage, including any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website, or from any reliance on its content
  • we will not be liable for the advice, products, acts or omissions of any broker partner or insurer introduced through our website

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, we would like the chance to put things right. Please contact us using the details below, or see our Complaints page for how we handle complaints.

If your complaint is about the advice you received, or about a product arranged for you, that is a matter for the broker partner or insurer concerned, and you should raise it with them directly. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be able to refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

If your complaint is about how we have handled your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy, which sets out a separate route for data protection complaints.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our service or in the law. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. By continuing to use our website after we make changes, you accept the updated terms.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in force.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of our website.

If we do not enforce a right under these terms, that is not a waiver of that right.

These terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce them.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of our website, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
