myTribe is proud to support MYTIME Young Carers, a UK charity that helps young carers aged between 5 and 25 by giving them much needed-breaks from their caring responsibilities and creating safe, inclusive spaces where they can simply be young.
myTribe Insurance Experts, an independent information service helping people navigate private healthcare and health insurance in the UK, is partnering with MYTIME Young Carers, the Dorset based charity supporting children and young people who care for a loved one. Both organisations share a simple belief: when people are better supported, they can thrive.
MYTIME stands for young carers - children and teenagers who look after family members living with illness, disability or mental health challenges. Too often, these young people miss out on the chances their peers take for granted. MYTIME tackles that through three powerful programmes:
Making Memories - a programme that runs a variety of events for young carers. Every event is built to make young carers feel they belong and to help them grow life skills they’ll carry forever. Activities are designed around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and shaped by MYTIME’s Theory of Change, creating experiences with a lasting impact.
Level Up - Support in schools that changes outcomes. MYTIME works directly with teachers, classmates and education professionals, offering training, structures and practical techniques so young carers are recognised, understood and properly supported. The goal is simple: to give young carers the same opportunities to achieve as any other child, no matter the challenges they face at home.
Employability - A bridge to the future. MYTIME helps young carers move confidently from school into higher education or employment. Workshops cover everything from CV writing and interview practice to skills development and personality profiling all designed to build confidence and open doors to careers and opportunities.
What makes this partnership so meaningful is the alignment of vision. Both myTribe and MYTIME believe in creating the conditions for people to live healthier, more confident and more supported lives. While MYTIME ensures that young carers are given the same chances to grow and succeed as their peers, myTribe helps people feel secure and supported in the face of life’s uncertainties. At the heart of both organisations is a commitment to care, community and the belief that the right support at the right time can change lives.
Together, this collaboration is set to make a real difference. By joining forces, myTribe and MYTIME Young Carers can shine a brighter light on the vital role young carers play and ensure they receive the recognition, opportunities and support they deserve. It’s a partnership full of promise, and one that will bring lasting benefits to young carers across the community.
