Richard spent eight years at Fairer Finance Limited, progressing from Researcher to Head of Consumer Understanding. He led teams that helped major financial firms improve how they communicate with their customers. Much of his work focused on turning complex insurance information into content that actually makes sense to real people.
He holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of East London and an MSc in Evolutionary Psychology from Brunel University. This academic background helps him understand how people think about financial products, and why they often find things like private health insurance confusing or overwhelming.
Richard is particularly good at explaining technical insurance concepts in plain English without dumbing them down. He has managed teams, run training sessions, and spoken at industry events.
