As the founder and editor of myTribe Insurance Experts, the role of Chris Steele is to ensure that the information we provide is of the highest quality and value to those who read it.

Career so far

After education, Chris worked as an insurance and risk specialist for several years at Lloyds TSB in London. Chris then moved into technology and had a successful career in business information systems before being offered the opportunity to write for leading insurance companies in 2015. 

In 2020, Chris identified a gap in the market for a website that offered an independent view of the private medical market, both insurance and treatment, and set about creating myTribe. 

Chris' role at myTribe

Today, Chris heads up a team of financial researchers and writers and plays a keen role in the direction and creation of content for the website. He's recently completed his IF1, IF7 and I10 certifications with the Chartered Institute of Insurance, obtaining his Cert CII Certificate in Insurance in August 2023.

Chris in the press and industry

Chris has been cited frequently in the national press in recent years and has also appeared on national radio, offering expert insight to listeners of LBC. Research conducted by Chris and his team has also been referred to by industry-leading websites such as Go CompareExpatica and Money FactsBusiness Protection Hub and more.
